Dordrecht from the clouds

Dordrecht from the clouds: a book full of aerial photographs of Dordrecht and the Drechtsteden. This book contains more than 250 aerial photographs taken by photographer Bart Hofmeester. Rotterdam photographer Bart Hofmeester (1921-2001) was a pioneer in aerial photography. Between 1950 and 1990 he took many pictures with his large and heavy aerial cameras. Roel Dijkstra's Vlaardingen-based photo agency owns some two million photographs and negatives of the photographer. Books about Rotterdam and the Rijnmond area had previously appeared. Now it was the turn of Dordrecht and the Drechtsteden in Dordrecht from the Clouds. Niels Dekker and Ad Hoogerwerf provided the photographs with text and explanation.
