Dordrecht tea from the Tea Shop. The Theewinkeltje in Dordrecht has developed a Dordrecht line with five different teas: Dordrecht Blend, Dordtsche Schappekopen, Prinsessenthee, Kistje van 't Hof and Statenthee.
Brewing advice Dordt tea: 1 measuring spoon per liter of water, steep the tea for 3-4 minutes in water at 100°C.
Dordrecht Blend
The taste and fragrance of this tea match the historic city. It is a thoughtful blend of Ceylon and Darjeeling; very appropriate, as these are the oldest known teas. This tea is also particularly suitable for the so-called "hard water," which unfortunately still comes out of the tap in many communities.
Dordtsche Schapekoppen
Flavored black tea, a mild Earl Grey tea. It is a high-quality blend of black tea refined with the sparkling taste of bergamot. The name comes from the legend that helped the people of Dordrecht get their nickname: Schapekoppen.
Princess tea
Flavored black and green tea. The tea has a sweet taste. The blend is refined with fresh jasmine blossoms. The name comes from the Berckepoort where statesmen and princesses stayed in the sixteenth century.
Casket of the Court
The tea is a blend of the best Chinese and Indian teas with a slight smoky flavor. The name comes from the court where in 1572 the foundations were laid for our current free state.
State tea
A blend of fine varieties of Keemun leaf tea and Chinese silver tips. The tea is slightly sweet and low in tannins. The name comes from the Statenzaal of the Court where the first Free States Assembly of Holland was held in 1572.
