From 1960 onwards, the National Service for Antiquarian Research conducted many excavations in Dordrecht. Due to a major fire in the inner city, it was possible to carry out one last investigation in the period 1982-1985, because it was known that this was the location of the Minderbroeder monastery. The results can be found in this - as usual richly illustrated - booklet, written by the Dordrecht archaeologist Marc Dorst. The archaeological remains found relate to the entire monastic phase, but also to the time before and after.
