Product description
The second volume in the series Verhalen van Dordrecht 'De Sint Elisabethsvloed' tells the story of the Sint Elisbeth flood. Because no first-hand accounts of this flood are known, the story surrounding the flood took on mythical forms. That 100,000 people drowned in this flood, as stated in some writings, is almost certainly exaggerated. Thanks to historical and archaeological research, a reasonably reliable reconstruction can be made. Author Wim Roodnat talks about current insights into the St. Elisabeth Flood, which had major consequences 600 years ago.
