One topic, lots of guests and lots of music.
"Everything you always wanted to know about ... " is an Kunstmin talk show that focuses on a different topic each time. This edition is devoted to Annie M.G. Schmidt.
Kees Thies (journalist and chronicler at AD) and Marjolein Meijers (musician and theater maker) are your hosts in a program full of surprising conversations and, of course, lots of music. They have presented the successful Kunstmin Live for the past eight years.
The guests
Journalist, radio presenter and programmer Hijlco Span presents the radio program Volgspot. He is considered an authority on cabaret and kleinkunst. In his career he interviewed Annie M.G. Schmidt several times and is a permanent jury member of the Annie M.G. Schmidt Award.
Researcher and writer of books, reviews, song and musical lyrics Sanne Thierens earned her doctorate in England on the musicals of Annie M.G. Schmidt and Harry Bannink. Her research appeared in her first book Mjoeziekul and curated an exhibition about it called Zeur Niet! at the Allard Pierson.
In addition to the conversation, the music is of the same order of magnitude. Students from the King's Theatre Academy will perform works by Schmidt in a contemporary manner, accompanied by pianist, composer and arranger Erik Vlasblom.
