Outside on the square
Outside in the square, you'll go back in time: there are all sorts of people "from the Middle Ages" walking around, medieval music, and workshops and tours of the former monastery complex. And don't forget the medieval herbs and forgotten vegetables.
At the museum
The museum features masterpieces from Dordrecht's archaeological collection. Children choose a shard and a bone and experts help examine these real archaeological finds in their lab. There is a medieval LEGO game and you can do archaeological puzzles in the ball pit.
Augustinian Church
In the Augustinian Church there will be a lecture on the order of Augustinian monks, a concert by medieval monks and a music ensemble performing medieval music, and in a workshop you will learn to sing Gregorian chant like the monks.
Cooperating organizations
The day is organized in cooperation with the Heritage Department of the Municipality of Dordrecht, the Archaeological Working Community of the Netherlands (AWN), Stichting Behoud Augustijnenkerk and the National Archaeology Days.
