A unique concert where big band and gospel come together.
During this evening the gospel choir The Messengers from Ridderkerk and JD's Big Band will perform. In the opening program will be Het Dansorkest, led by Robin Bogert. In the main program, the gospel choir, which has been performing catchy gospel songs since 1976, about thirty people will enthusiastically sing their songs, accompanied by an accompaniment band. The choir is under the direction of conductor Ruud Saly.
As hosts this evening, JD's Big Band once again wants to show that we continue to make swinging music and challenge ourselves with new songs. Songs such as Feelin' Good, Unchain my Heart (Joe Cocker), Mercy (Duffy), as well as instrumental numbers such as Earth, Wind and Fire Dance Mix, Libertango and Sway will be performed, partly instrumental and partly accompanied by one of our singers.
A good opportunity to hear the band at work under the direction of new conductor Daan Roosenbrand. All in all, an evening that will be well worth attending.
