Three women keep the business running with stories, music and unbreakable strength. One day they get a new colleague: Joy, who does anything but live up to her name. She is exhausted, on the run from a world of systems pulling her down. Yet here, among the hairs and heads, melodies ring out that touch her. There is singing, dancing and laughter, even when everything is against her. Can Joy surrender to the rhythms of the factory? Or will she remain trapped in her anger and doubts? 'BLACK JOY' will be a multicolored mix of music, stories and dance, in which four black Dutch women turn their struggles into an explosion of energy.
