Musical family performance about parenting outside the lines and being one with nature
'Captain Fantastic' is a musical adventure about parenting outside the lines and being one with nature, loosely based on the award-winning film of the same name. A father (Captain Fantastic) lives with his children in the woods, far away from all the stimuli and negative influences of society. He teaches them everything you need to know about nature: what plants to eat, how to start a fire and how to catch a rabbit. But after years of living off-grid, they are forced to return to civilization. The children end up in an environment full of strange customs they don't know. They want to make friends, discover all sorts of things, but father rigidly clings to his ideals. Meanwhile, grandmother finds the way of upbringing abnormal and unhealthy and does everything in her power to take the children away from their father and gain custody.
