Years ago The Fabulous WannaBeatles were the Beatles sensation of the Netherlands. The then young dogs of the WannaBeatles played every venue and festival, toured all the (big) theaters in the Netherlands and could regularly be seen and heard on radio and television. After 12 years of 'I Saw Her Standing There', 'Get Back' and 'Hey Jude' it was time for their own work.
From that desire arose Certain Animals: melodic, harmonious rock with sixties and seventies influences. The band has toured festivals, pop venues and theaters again with its own songs, is frequently played on Radio 2 and Radio Veronica, among others, and can count names like Leo Blokhuis and Rob Stenders among its fans. Now that the band members have seen every corner of the Netherlands, it is time to mix their own songs and inspirations. The band does this through a search in their fathers' record cabinets, which of course includes The Beatles. They also find Creedence Clearwater Revival, Deep Purple, Focus, Genesis and Neil Young, among others.
After their successful theater tour "Dad Rock," the men of Certain Animals now take audiences in halls and pop venues on a journey through the songs that inspire them. They play the music of those legendary bands, mix it with their own work and tell short anecdotes and facts. But the music always comes first. Because where their fathers' record cabinets were the starting point, the band has kept digging. Now they give their fathers listening tips and introduce them to bands from their own era. Certain Animals wants to share that passion for music with audiences. Anyone who has a thing for the music of the '60s and '70s should definitely not miss this!
