September 24, 2025 marks the 400th anniversary of Johan de Witt's birth in Dordrecht. Together with his brother Cornelis de Witt, he left his mark on political life in the Republic of the United Netherlands in the 17th century.
The Municipality of Dordrecht is organizing a host of activities around the commemoration of his birthday. The Drechtsteden Bach Choir will perform choral music from the time of Johan de Witt in addition to a lecture by the curator of the Dordrecht Museum, Marianne Eekhout.
