From May 15 to June 30, the hall of the city office will be the setting for six weeks of an exhibition on the Dordrecht-Bamenda (Cameroon, since 1996), Dordrecht-Varna (Bulgaria, since 2001) and Dordrecht-Dordrecht (South Africa, 2006) town twinning projects. The exhibition provides insight into a number of old and new projects of the twinning.
A twinning is a friendship bond or partnership between a Dutch city and a city in another country. The goal is to share knowledge, learn from each other's culture and support each other, but most of all, friendship.
Dordt Town Twinning establishes contacts between individuals, companies, associations and organizations in Dordrecht and in the befriended cities with the aim of exchanging experiences and carrying out activities together. Topics include sports, art, music, education, economy and more. Also support projects in the partner cities.
The city office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
