n the the Grote Kerk, Dordtissimo gives a beautiful concert. Admission is free.
This celebratory event provides an opportunity to reflect on what freedom and peace meant; eighty years ago, but also today. Many people experience unfreedom. Sometimes because they are burdened by war, but sometimes while living in peace. Still unfree. A selection of classical music and modern classics will be performed. Led by conductor Danny Nooteboom, you will hear the scratch choir Dordtissimo, soprano Aida Barberena and the Dordrecht Chamber Orchestra. Reverend Idelette Otten of the Grote Kerk will be there, and stories by Stichting Voorlezen with Ilse van Donkelaar will be heard.
