Do you feel like a loser most of the time? A fucking loser, even? Does the world usually confuse you? Come celebrate with Elmer that we are all awkward.
Elmer brings an unfiltered mix of provocative rawness, disarming honesty and the colorful aesthetic of comic books. Her shameless performance feels like a long-awaited breath of fresh air on the Dutch music scene. Elmer broke through in 2021 when her song Je Vader went viral, she was subsequently featured at major festivals such as Lowlands, Pukkelpop and ESNS and won an Edison for "Best Newcomer" in 2025. She closed her club tour Platland at the end of 2024 in a packed Paradiso.
"A dyke of a debut album," HUMO wrote about Elmer's album Platland. After a gigantic club tour, a hot festival summer and with that Edison in her pocket, Elmer returns to Dutch pop venues this fall. Expect a theatrical bouncy show with two sweaty dancers, a cardboard set and an impressive collection of hats.
3voor12 wrote of the club show, "Elmer not only confirmed our expectations (yes, it's raw, it's coarse, it's hard), but also exceeded them with her versatility. The way she knows how to work her emotions into a clever piece of musical kleinkunsthysterie, no one else can." Want to glibly disagree with this? Then you'll have to come see the show first.
With humor, self-mockery and rancorous lyrics, Elmer touches on themes of commitment anxiety, self-hatred and the hypocrisy of the progressive elite. She deliberately plays with expectations around gender, sound and appearance - thus challenging the norm. In doing so, it becomes her mission to break open and radically diversify the Dutch music scene.
