Biopic about the life story of renowned artist Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002), for whom her outspoken work was her weapon.
1952. After a traumatic childhood in New York, model/actress Niki de Saint Phalle(Charlotte leBon) moves back to Paris with her husband and young daughter, Yet she does not manage to mentally distance herself from her parents and family. Her work as a model and actress is also already no longer satisfying. She suffers from psychological problems. Then she starts painting. That seems to be the only way to escape her past. But even that is not without setbacks and a relationship crisis. Thus develops the initial phase of what will grow into a successful life as an artist, full of outspoken and colorful objects.
