A tasty French feel-good movie. It is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. The film shows how music connects people, through which unlikely family ties grow into genuine friendships.
Thibaut(Benjamin Lavernhe) is a successful conductor, Jimmy(Pierre Lottin) plays in the local brass band. They are brothers, but don't know of each other's existence. Until Thibaut seeks a bone marrow donor. And finds it. Adoption has made their lives completely different. Their love of music brings them closer together. Thanks to the musical talent of both, it turns out the brothers have more in common than they thought.
En fanfare was a big cinema hit in France and Belgium. Among others, at the Film by the Sea festival in Vlissingen, the film won the audience award.
