The visionary architect László Tóth (Adrien Brody) survived the Holocaust. He trades postwar Europe for America to make a fresh start with his work and his life. László arrives alone in a strange, new country. His cousin Atilla is soon verAmericanized and helps him get his first job. This brings him into contact with wealthy leading industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren (Guy Pearce). From him he may build a new project on a mountain in Pensylvania. For both men, this is a huge prestige projecte. Conflict guaranteed; the struggle between artistic freedom and capital wanting to dictate.
