The Life of Chuck is based on a novella by the famous SciFi thriller writer Stephen King. In three chapters, the film chronicles the life of Charles "Chuck" Krantz (Tom Hiddleston), a seemingly ordinary man.
As the end of the world approaches, mysterious ads appear everywhere thanking Chuck for 39 great years. Marty Anderson (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a man who imagined the end of time very differently, becomes fascinated by the question: who is this Chuck? And why does it seem like the fate of the world is tied to him? Slowly but surely, memories, personal tragedies and cosmic riddles weave into an emotional story about life, loss and the impact one person can have.
Mike Flanagan knows how to film great Stephen King stories. This time in such a way that an ordinary life tells more than the great accumulation of catastrophes.
