In a small Danish town, a group of people take a course in Italian: a hairdresser, the girl from the bakery store, the manager of a restaurant, the manager of the sports hall, the new pastor... All of them are alone in life: perhaps it is the hope for a little "amore" that makes them toil over the difference between a pizza and a piazza.
