When young and ambitious ballerina Joy Womack ( Talia Ryder ) is accepted into the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, she becomes the first American student at this renowned dance academy. Joy's dream is to become a prima ballerina at this prestigious ballet. But behind the beauty of dance lies a world of pain and fierce competition. During her training, Joy is forced to push her physical and mental boundaries.
