Jasmine(Marilena Amato) seems to have a perfect life. She has a fine family with her caring husband Rino(Gennaro Scarica) and their three sons, and runs a thriving hair salon near Naples. But after her father's death, she keeps having the same dream in which a young girl runs to her. Jasmine decides to follow her desire to add a daughter to their family. International adoption must provide a solution, but her doggedness puts pressure on her family. When Jasmine seems to lose her moral compass, the family comes together to go through this process with her.
This premiere film at the Venice Film Festival is based on true events and the main characters play themselves.
