Sandra(Valeria Bruni Tedeschi) is an independent fifty-something. She runs a feminist bookstore and lives very much by herself. Suddenly she has to share her privacy with a new neighbor(Pio Marmaï) and his two children. They have recently lost their wife/mother and have to get very used to the new home situation. Against all odds, they become attached to each other. But who is she to them? And who are they to her?
Director Carine Tardieu created a heartwarming film drama in which each person discovers in their own way what place they can take in their own formed family. By being open to unexpected connections, the world around us can take on color.
