The Spanish film The Other Way Around (Volveréis) is a comedy about divorce. Director Jonas Trueba, working closely with both protagonists, created an intelligent and repetitive story structure that both entertains and disrupts.
After nearly fifteen years together, Ale and Alex(Itsaso Arana and Vito Sanz) decide to break up. But they want to celebrate their separation with a grand party in the heart of their hometown of Madrid. Basically a wedding, but "the other way around. Friends and family are skeptical. Everyone wonders, "is that really the case, that they want to get rid of each other?" They are sure and start all the preparations, while they also have to bring joint film project to a successful conclusion. Entanglements cannot fail to happen.
