The Volkskrant: "...summery and good-humored."
18-year-old Camilla is going to study in Puglia and has decided to live there with her new boyfriend Antonio. Her parents bicker over whether this is a good idea. Therefore, father Carlo(Fabio de Luigi) and mother Giulia(Valentina Lodovini) are going to take her away, along with both their younger children. During a short vacation at the estate of Antonio's wealthy parents, the Rovelli and Paradiso families get to know each other. Soon this leads to all sorts of amusing events and many misunderstandings.
Director Alessandro Genovesi created a breezy summer comedy, smoothly told and with eye-catching visuals. Popular Italian comedian Fabio de Luigi excels at clumsiness and wrong jokes. But casually, the film touches on themes that all families will recognize. The Filmkrant aptly characterized the comedy as "vacation for your brain." 😉
