As the son of a poor family, small in stature and with a unique voice, it was said of him that he would never become a success. Yet, due to his talent and perseverance, Charles Aznavour (1924 - 2018) grew to become France's most successful chansonnier. In Monsieur Aznavour, we follow the French icon(Tahar Rahim) from his eventful childhood to international fame. The child of Armenian refugees, he grows up with music and in poverty. This makes him a driven man who puts everything aside to break through. But breaking through is not easy, not even with the help of Edith Piaf. But when it does happen, his fame lasts for a long time because he always managed to capture the spirit of the times in intimate and timeless songs like "Sur ma vie,""She" and "La Bohème.
