F1 The Movie

Apple Original Films and the makers of Top Gun: Maverick are coming out with the spectacular action film F1, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski. The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski, seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton, Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Chad Oman. Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) was named the most promising Formula One driver in the 1990s, until an on-track accident nearly ended his career. Thirty years later, he is a touring driver who gets hired for races and is approached by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), the owner of an ailing Formula One team about to go under. Ruben manages to convince Sonny to return to Formula One for one last chance to save the team and become the best in the world himself. His teammate becomes Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), the talented rookie determined to become the fastest himself. But once the engines roar, Sonny is haunted by his past and finds that in Formula One, your teammate is your biggest competitor and he can't recover on his own.
