Synopsis
Lise, the only daughter of the widow Simone, is in love with the young farm boy Colas, but
her mother has much more ambitious plans for her. Simone hopes to marry her off to
Alain, the son of the wealthy farmer Thomas. Because Lisa is eager to marry Colas, and not to
Alain, she does everything in her power to outwit her mother.
