Synopsis
Ramnath loses both parents in a short time and loses his leg in a car accident. Destitute and hungry, he wanders the streets of Bombay and befriends a blind young man, Mohan, and both use their talents - playing and harmonica and singing, respectively - to earn some money. Mohan is looking for his sister Meena. Both friends befriend a sick girl, Manjula. They undergo setbacks. Meena does not want contact with her begging brother and Ramnath is arrested by the police. The unconditional friendship (Dosti) endures and helps them survive.
