The Amateur

The Amateur, a spy-thriller from 20th Century Studios starring Oscar®-winner Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody) and Academy Award®-nominated Laurence Fishburne (What's Love Got to Do with It), will be released in Dutch cinemas on April 10, 2025.
Rami Malek plays Charlie Heller, a brilliant but reclusive code expert at the CIA who works out of a basement office at Langley headquarters. His life changes dramatically when his wife is killed in a terrorist attack in London. When his superiors refuse to take action, he takes matters into his own hands and embarks on a dangerous global search for the perpetrators. His intelligence serves as the ultimate weapon to evade his pursuers and exact revenge.
The film also features roles by Rachel Brosnahan, Caitríona Balfe, Jon Bernthal, Michael Stuhlbarg, Holt McCallany, Julianne Nicholson, Adrian Martinez, Danny Sapani, and Laurence Fishburne. The Amateur is directed by James Hawes. The screenplay was written by Ken Nolan and Gary Spinelli, based on the novel by Robert Littell. The film was produced by Hutch Parker, p.g.a., Dan Wilson, p.g.a., Rami Malek, Joel B. Michaels, with JJ Hook as executive producer.
