During the summer months (through August 30) you can enjoy several beautiful films on Fridays and Saturdays in the beautiful Monastery Garden, organized by Filmtheater De Witt. Each evening there is a different film on the program. Tonight draaoit El Jockey by Luis ortega.
This Friday night the Cloister Garden will be in Spanish spheres with the new film by Luis Ortega, the leading Argentine director known for his visually intense style. El Jockey was submitted for the Oscars.
Once a legendary jockey, Remo Manfredini's self-destructive behavior led him down the wrong path. Now he races mainly to pay off his sky-high debts to a criminal gang led by the seedy mob boss Sirena. During the most important race of his life, things go wrong... Remo causes a tragic accident that kills one of the most valuable horses. He himself is badly injured. When he recovers in the hospital, he goes on the run. With the bandage still around his head, he assumes a new identity and roams the streets of Buenos Aires, on the run from Sirena.
Before the movie, you can participate in a communal paella meal in the garden.
The film starts at 9 p.m. From 7 p.m. the Kloostertuin will be open and the Paella meal will be served.

It is also possible to rent a beach chair for € 5.00. After ordering tickets online, you can check off beach chairs. You pay the total amount via Ideal. Tickets will be checked and beach chairs will be handed out upon entering the Kloostertuin (through the back of De Witt).
There is a bar in the garden for drinks and snacks. And for a complete summer night out, you can eat beforehand on the terrace of the city brasserie.
