IT PART IV (NL, PT)
IT PART is the multi-year project of the Kleefstra Bros together with Popfabryk under the wings of Explore the North. For IT PART IV, the Kleefstra Bros partnered with Portuguese Joana Guerra (cello) and Maria do Mar de Brito Lopes (violin).
Joana Guerra was seen previously collaborating with the Kleefstra Bros in hey Alvaret Ensemble. As a musician, she explores soundscapes that reflected her desire for acoustic experimentation and the development of expanded cello techniques.
Maria do Mar de Brito Lopes is a violinist, composer, teacher and activist from Lisbon. She explores alternative ways of teaching, participates in experimental, improvised music and performance projects, programming and political activism.
Otto Lindholm (BE)
Brussels-based producer and composer Otto Lindholm is a master of the interplay between analog machines and double bass. At the intersection of drone and modern classical music, he uses his double bass, along with loop pedals and electronic effects, to create a rich and lush sound palette - full of emotions and elongated melodies.
