From April 26 to October 26, the Dordrecht Patrician House surprises with portrait art by artist, photographer, cutter and costume designer Suzanne Jongmans.
Suzanne Jongmans' work shows her love for the craft of the masters of the Renaissance and early modern era. Centuries in which the art of portraiture reigned supreme. And it is precisely the symbolically infused portraiture of those times that forms the framework within which Suzanne Jongmans tells her own story and thus also the story of our time. The work of Suzanne Jongmans fits particularly well in the Patrician House because of the way her art bridges the gap between past and present.
