Come May 5, 2025 to the lighting of the Liberation Fire and Commemoration at Merwestein Park. Experience remembrance and togetherness. This Commemoration is all about freedom and remembering our liberation. Together we remember the past: of the discharge of cannonballs by the Yellow Riders. After an inspiring speech by the mayor, musically supported by Jubal, we celebrate the power of unity and freedom. Don't miss this special opportunity to share memories together. Afterwards, we will hand out Swedish white bread as part of this commemoration.
