Former top ballerina Igone de Jongh depicts her life story in a dance performance with video, memories, outpourings and choreography by Ed Wubbe and Rudi van Dantzig, among others.
Video, personal memories and stunning choreography
In Renaissance, former top ballerina Igone de Jongh brings her life story to life in a personal dance performance. She shares all the highs and lows of her career, from the hard way up, the glory years with the Dutch National Ballet to the 'free fall' of recent years.
With a mix of video, personal memories, outpourings and stunning choreography by Ed Wubbe, Rudi van Dantzig and others, the performance will be a fascinating journey through Igone's life. With her dance partner Marijn Rademaker she dances the pas de deux from Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet in a compelling manner. For Renaissance, she once again joins forces with TV and theater producer Marc Pos, with whom she previously collaborated for the Igone gala in Carré.
