Over a year and a half ago, five Dutch students at Rotterdam's Codarts Conservatory formed the Asterias Quintet. The young ensemble enjoys uncovering hidden gems from the classical and romantic periods, but also ventures into contemporary works. They regularly enjoy the coaching of experienced top musicians such as Eva Stegeman, Marc Danel, Karin Dolman, Shuann Chai and Matthew Midgley. In addition, they proved themselves in March 2025 by winning second prize and the audience award at the Rijnmond Music Prize.
