THIS WORKSHOP IS SOLD OUT!
Due to success a second workshop!
The vulva is on socks, sweaters, cards and key chains these days. Do we have any use for it? Or do feminists now reduce politics and inclusion to populist visual culture? And what does this symbol do as a battle flag? Especially when it is exploited so commercially. When visual artist Mignon Nusteling, in the run-up to International Women's Day, was asked for the umpteenth time to make a painting about 'the yoni', she had had enough. In the style of the zero movement, she folded white canvas, from which the vulva could once again be everything. During this creative workshop, we will take a critical look at the role of the vulva in contemporary visual culture and make our own white folded painting. Both your head and hands will be put to work!
Please note that we will be working with paint, so dress accordingly.
Important: A maximum of 15 people can participate in the workshop!
The workshop is on Sunday, September 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Participation in the workshop costs 4 euros.
