On Tuesday evening, June 17, orchestra Moesika and Atelier Papjee will open the doors of the Energiehuis in Dordrecht for a heartwarming presentation full of music and visual art. It promises to be a colorful and varied program focusing on talents with intellectual disabilities.
Moesika is a unique orchestra of cultural center ToBe, especially for people with intellectual disabilities. Every week, the group rehearses under the guidance of professional music teachers. Musicality, fun and playing together are paramount. Whether you play the drums, sing or participate with gestures - everyone participates in his or her own way. Participants grow audibly in their playing and visibly in their self-confidence.
Atelier Papjee is the creative place for people with intellectual disabilities who like to draw, paint or work spatially. Every Tuesday the group works together in the Energiehuis on new techniques and projects, with personal guidance. The atelier stimulates imagination, individuality and experimentation - and this is reflected in the surprising works of art shown during this evening.
Visitors can enjoy an upbeat music presentation, an exhibition of recent work by the studio participants and, of course, drinks to chat afterward.
