Steyn de Leeuwe worked in the homeless shelter for two years and as a result made "Moonlight Motel," a hallucinatory theater trip about life on the streets. It is about success and failure, happiness and unhappiness, right and wrong, fiction and reality.

Musical, humorous and virtuoso theatrical tour de force about homelessness

"With his engaging mix of acting, poetry and music, De Leeuwe immediately draws the audience into his story and does not let go until he has finished telling it," according to NRC about 'Tofu Cowboy,' Steyn de Leeuwe's previous performance. Something similar awaits you with 'Moonlight Motel,' where he presents a hallucinatory theatrical trip about life on the streets with boundless energy. Steyn worked in the homeless shelter for two years. This odyssey, told by an anti-hero, is about success and failure, happiness and unhappiness, right and wrong, fiction and reality. Apparently, sleeping on the streets is a not-so-far cry? And isn't everyone always looking for a home?

In this musical and humorous one-man show, Steyn plays dozens of characters crisscrossing each other, delivering a virtuoso theatrical tour de force. Thus, he brings the street to the stage and ends up wondering where his home actually is.
