The versatility of Billy Joel's impressive oeuvre is unprecedented. The American has always managed to move virtuosically through every possible stylistic idiom. But there is a constant factor: the influence of classical music on his oeuvre. Alexander Broussard of The Billy Joel Experience wanted to highlight this by setting his band opposite the German string quartet La Finesse. But along the way, it turned out that "opposite" slowly became "together.
