On May 15, vegan restaurant Rebel Rebel, together with author Bas van den Berg, is organizing a special evening in Dordrecht: a pain (painless) dinner. The conversation may sometimes be confrontational and even painful, but the food certainly is not - a completely vegan menu, without pain for animals.
Using the debut "The Dragons in Me" by author Bas van den Berg, we will delve into these questions. Together with researchers Nina Bohm and Femke Coops, he will take you through an interactive session on resilience, letting go and finding meaning in the inevitable.
This evening combines delicious vegan food with an inspiring workshop and in-depth conversations. Whether you struggle with pain yourself, know someone who does, or are just curious about a different perspective on life, this will be an evening that touches you.

About The Dragons In Me
This novel follows Sebastian, who looks back on a life in which he always fought; with his health, with the world, with himself. For years he tried to do something good for the earth, but eventually his dragons force him to choose a different path. What if fighting on is no longer an option?
Can you give pain a place without losing yourself?
What lessons are hidden in letting go?
These questions are the heart of the workshop and of The Dragons In Me.
Speakers Bas van den Berg - Author, vegan and regenerative leadership researcher. He explores how we can find meaning in the relationship between humans and the world - even when life turns out differently than hoped.
