For 20 years Reggae Central has been bringing the best reggae to the Popcentrale. To celebrate this anniversary in a big way, we have managed to snare a special act: none other than Marcus Gad & Tribe! This internationally celebrated artist, known for his spiritual and genre-transcending reggae, is coming to Dordrecht for an exclusive and intimate show. Marcus Gad & Tribe
Marcus Gad, born and raised in New Caledonia, is a true musical freedom fighter. Active in music since the age of 15, he has developed a unique sound that combines reggae with influences from dub, soul, hip-hop, R&B and indigenous music. With albums such as Chanting (2017), Rhythm of Serenity (2020), Brave New World (2021) and his latest release Ready For Battle (2023), he has built an impressive reputation worldwide.
Together with his band Tribe, he has conquered the stages of major festivals such as Reggae Geel, Rastaplas, Zwarte Cross, Couleur Café, Rototom, Sun Ska and Summerjam. And now he is coming to the Popcentrale for a unique club show!
An anniversary to celebrate
This special show marks not only 20 years of Reggae Central, but also the 20th anniversary of our own reggae programmer Lorenzo Stam. Thanks to his passion, we managed to bring Marcus Gad & Tribe to Dordrecht for an exclusive performance. Partly because of this special occasion, we have symbolically set the ticket price at â¬20,-.
