Teun van den Elzen's second cabaret program confronts threats to our free society with sharp, ruthless humor.
Teun takes offensive position with razor-sharp, ruthless jokes
The time of carefree navel-gazing is over. Our free society is threatened from all sides. We all need to get clear again what is at stake. Because there is a lot to defend, Teun thinks, and that is why he goes on the offensive in his second cabaret program. With his most important weapon: his razor-sharp, relentless jokes.
Teun van den Elzen is one of the most striking new names in Dutch cabaret. He graduated cum laude as a political scientist, won the jury and audience award at the Groninger Student Cabaret Festival in 2019, wrote for the TV show 'Dit Was Het Nieuws', is a columnist for 'Spijkers met Koppen' and played at Lowlands, Pinkpop and the Zwarte Cross. His debut show 'I can't say more about it' scored four stars in the Volkskrant: "A smooth talker full of relativizing humor."
