In 1984, Bruce Springsteen released the hit album Born In The USA, which marked his breakthrough as a superstar. The hits followed in rapid succession and Bruce could be heard on every radio show during that time. In 1984 the 'Born In The USA' tour started and Bruce went around the world with his E-Streetband. A total of 156 concerts were performed in the world's biggest stadiums.
On June 12 and 13, 1985, De Kuip in Rotterdam was hit for two legendary concerts. A smashing Springsteen put on two unforgettable shows there. Those lucky enough to be there still can't stop talking about it. And now 40 years later..... The Bruceband is coming to the pop stages with a new tour themed "Bruce Springsteen in the Kuip 1985. These shows will highlight memorable concerts from 40 years ago, where The Bruceband will play the exact same set list as Bruce Springsteen at the Kuip in 1985.
Those in the know know that Bruce played a slightly different set list on the second night. Not to worry! The songs from both Kuip set lists will be combined and all songs will be played. Note: Unlike the 1985 shows, there will be no intermission.... So it promises to be great nights with the best Bruce had to offer. The Bruceband - for years 'Europe's no 1 Springsteen tribute band' - has something to celebrate itself in 2025: in 2005 in the band first took to the stage. That is now also 20 years and the band is several hundred performances further. That's something to celebrate!
For those unfamiliar with The Bruceband, since its inception, The Bruceband has been purely dedicated to playing Springsteen songs and approaching the same atmosphere and intensity on stage as Bruce himself. Everything is played live and no tracks run with it. The band sticks to its mission and puts no time into side-stepping to other artists. After all, Bruce's repertoire is great and (more than) big enough! Several times in the past, The Bruceband has performed entire albums by Bruce in full during performances and has even had the honor of working with members of the E-Streetband.
The band is all about making the audience feel the same positive vibes you experience at a Springsteen concert.
