Sunday, May 26, 2024, the Royal Dordrecht Male Voice Choir KNA will give its last concert in the Wlhelminakerk. KNA bids farewell to its audience as well as to conductor Hans van der Toorn, who is going into well-deserved retirement after nearly 30 years.
The program reflects the selection of songs sung with fervor and love over the years. Before intermission, British songs by Britten, Elgar and Sullivan, among others, will be sung. Alto Marie Anne Jacobs intersperses the choir with beautiful solos.
After intermission, songs from famous operas by Verdi and others and hymns to nature are featured. Soloist and choir find each other in beautiful works by Schubert and Brahms. Caecilia Boschman accompanies on the grand piano, the overall direction is in the hands of conductor Hans van der Toorn. Address:
