For parents/caretakers of children up to 4 years there is a special new activity this summer: Waking up at Weizigt. Between 7.30 and 9.00 you are welcome to wake up quietly, in and with nature. Wake up with a cup of coffee or tea, while listening to the birds and your child discovers nature.
Activities
- Barefoot trail: walk barefoot through the meadow along a line from which hang various small objects and tasks.
- Mud Kitchen: in addition to playing nicely with water and clay, here children can "paint" themselves with the mud and decorate themselves with twigs and leaves.
- Assignments around the senses in the herb circle: explore the garden with your child using assignment cards.
- Treasure hunt: search for treasures together and keep them in a plastic box with a lid.
- Color hammering: using, for example, a block of wood to make impressions on paper by hammering on leaves and flowers.
Experience nature
During Waking up at Weizigt we want children to discover nature by using their senses. In this way they experience at a young age that you can play with the things around you and that nature is not dirty or scary, but rather great fun!
Please note! The City Farm is not open during Waking up at Weizigt. After 9 a.m. you can continue exploring the grounds and the City Farm will also open.
