In their compositions, improvisation and fixed forms flow effortlessly into each other, creating dynamic and adventurous stories. Often humor is avoided in "serious" music, but with this quintet the laugh and the tear are close together. In 2022, as a big surprise, they won both the jury and audience award at the Dutch Jazz Competition:
