Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July, all citizens of Dordrecht can visit the Dordrechts Museum for free. The museum offers this weekend on the occasion of the exhibition I love Dordt.
The exhibition had only been open for a day when the Dordrechts Museum had to close in December last year due to the national lockdown. Now the museum is open again and I love Dordt can finally be seen again.
The exhibition features more than 400 personal items from Dordrecht citizens. A special bicycle, musical instruments, old photographs, drawings, a horseshoe, unusual items of clothing and much more. At least as special are the stories behind these objects. Together, the items and stories pay homage to the 800th anniversary of the city.
Anyone who lives in or was born in Dordrecht can visit the museum for free, on presentation of identification or a recent postal document with an address in Dordrecht.
It is also necessary to book a free ticket with time slot in advance via the museum website. Special tickets for this action weekend are available there.
