Spring fairground Stadspolders - May 3 to 8
"After almost three years of absence, the spring fair is happily returning to Van Eesterenplein in the Stadspolders! I know the residents really missed it. This family fair has become a real tradition after so many years. Every year about five thousand people from all generations know how to find our fair. The young people of a few years ago now come with their young children, grandfathers and grandmothers with their grandchildren. The fair means entertainment and fun for Dordrechters from 2 to 99 years old! It is truly Dordrecht's party.
Mothers are especially put in the spotlight on Mother's Day, or rather, in flowers. There is a flower princess who will hand them out."

Smulbos Run - May 26
"Having fun together is most important to us as an organization. The Smulbosloop is a small-scale recreational run that anyone can participate in. We deliberately keep the entry fee low, because we like to be approachable. So, get out your running shoes, register for the 5 or for the 10 kilometers and run with us on Ascension Day. The course runs on bicycle and walking paths, because De Nieuwe Biesbosch is a beautiful nature reserve, and we don't want to disturb that. The Smulbosloop is not necessarily about performance, but about enjoyment!"

Dordrechters can expect another festival with that well-known, authentic atmosphere, and of course lots of good food! Enjoy delicacies from various Dordrecht cuisines such as Osteria Luca, Broertjes Saté, Warung Kripik, Brut op Wielen and Visser's Poffertjes, as well as tasty snacks and drinks from outside the city limits. Also worthwhile is the market with unusual vintage goodies. We have a music program with new and emerging talent from the region and even the smallest Dordrechters won't have to be bored for a moment at Lepeltje Lepeltje. We hope that visitors go home a little richer after this edition. Not only satisfied from the food, but also because they have made new discoveries!"

"After many years of absence, this year a genuine choral festival is once again descending on the city center: a Barbershop Meeting Festival! We have organized this a cappella festival many times before in Den Bosch, but what could be nicer to organize it now in historic Dordrecht? As many as 26 choirs and 15 quartets will perform on 17 different stages. That means 600 singers populate the city center! We love to show how great it is to sing. And believe me: anyone can do it. And singing together does so much more... Especially for this edition we have arranged two well-known songs: 'Als ik je weer ziet' by Typhoon, Maan, Paul de Munnik, Thomas Acda and 'Kings & Queens' by Ava Max. We invite everyone to come, at 5 p.m., to the Beverwijcksplein to come and sing these songs with us!"
