Serenade and aubade to start the day

King's Day begins as early as 9:30 a.m. with a serenade and tour by Jubal from the Gasthuis on the Vest. The tour starts at the Dordrecht Museum and then goes to the Gasthuis over the Vest, Spuiboulevard, Achterom, Bagijnhof, Visstraat, Voorstraat to the Stadhuisplein.
From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., there will be a festive aubade on the Stadhuisplein with musical entertainment by Jubal's Big Band, Jubal Dordrecht and children's choir the Church Owls. Afterwards, you can enjoy a Kings Day brunch at the Dordrecht Museum. Be sure to reserve a spot, because full=full!

Strolling through the Orange Market

King's Day is the day to look for second-hand gems. Endless wandering during the Orange Market along all the rugs, tables and stalls looking for that one item. You will come across toys, clothes, furniture, accessories and much more! From 09:00 to 17:00 you can stroll past about 150 stalls, stretching from the Grote Kerk to the Kloostertuin.
Tip for families: in the Kloostertuin there is a children's free market from 7:00 to 17:00.

Orange coziness

Of course, the entire city center will be colored orange and there will be lots of other fun activities and things to do. Enjoy a (orange) drink on the terrace and order an (orange) pastry or swing during the orange band show from 13.30 to 15.30 on the Statenplein. There will also be a party at various bars and restaurants in the city, including Finn's, Rebel Rebel and Boer'n Bontje , and you can score orange items in the lovely Dordrecht stores. In short: the city center of Dordrecht is filled with orange fun on King's Day!

Spectacular fireworks show

Following tradition, there will again be a spectacular fireworks show at 10:30 p.m. on the Drierivierenpunt to end King's Day with a bang. At the Drierivierenpunt, an impressive fireworks show will be fired from a pontoon by Dutch firework professional. The fireworks show can be seen perfectly from the Groothoofd and the Merwekade!
