The 1953 flood disaster does not stand alone. Water runs like a thread through Dutch history. Four-part documentary series
NTR has realized a four-part documentary series "The water is coming" in 2023 on the occasion of the 70th commemoration of the 1953 flood disaster. Using archive material and penetrating eyewitness accounts, the four documentaries chart how the disaster was able to unfold, how insufficient anticipation of the impending danger was made beforehand, and what we have learned from the disaster.
